I do not suppose there are any beds that are not hard as a rock down here? I have tried one in nearly every cabin, and they are all most uncomfortable. It would be better to sleep on the ground! When we were banished out of the tree last time, the accommodations, they were much better. I am not impressed. This place, it has always been poorly managed, but now, I see that it is even worse than I thought.

Next time we are driven from our little homes and what little lives we have, I would like more comfortable accommodations. Do note this, whomever manages these sort of things, hm?

This is public, no? Should it not be good enough? Surely people can write now, voting that they agree or not. Or perhaps we should set up a little box in one of the shelters that does not entirely qualify as a building. A voting box, since some like to pretend that they have privacy, hm?

Yes, but who shall count the votes and report it to the management with a box? And with the journals, we cannot prevent people from gaming the system. ...Although, we can always game it right back.

Yes. A game is luck and skill, fortune smiling on one man of many. Cheating is trickery and lies that has its place...elsewhere.

Yes, it is, and that is fine. The system is not a game, simply an institution that gets in the way.

Some institutions, I am not against. But this system, unseen and not understandable, this system, it is indeed in the way.

Indeed, if there were not many, I would be a very sad man. But I tolerate what I find tolerable and disregard what I do not--or at least, I would, and that is where this system gets in the way.

There is no disregarding it. We are pushed this way and that by its many whims. And so, it is intolerable.

I am myself in the same boat. There is nothing here of any sort of quality, and making takes far too much time.
