[The writing is messy, as the writer is being jostled quite a bit. It probably wouldn't be recognizable if the sentence structure wasn't so distinct.]

This, it is ridiculous! There have been ridiculous things before, but this, it is the most! My chair will not stop! I cannot sit without them taking off and playing music of all things!

I need a gun. To SHOOT MY CHAIRS. EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM. If they are shot, they cannot run, hm? Or must I leash them now?

This is the most undignified, ludicrous, utterly stupid thing that has ever happened in this Sphere.

I think I begin to hate my life.

[[ooc: Musical chairs event. Ambassador is currently a hostage of one of his sturdier table chairs. Feel free to see/laugh/mock/be in the path.]]

The shouts of "Stop, stop, you bastard son of a thrice-damned peasant" were not warning?

The chair, it has arms. And I am clinging to them with all of my might since I do not care to be flung off an island.
live_ringer: (They order me up a whiskey and beer.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 05:27 am (UTC)(link)
Considering it happened in the Bazaar, I thought it was someone getting robbed.

Never tried jumping and rolling away when there wasn't an island in sight? Might have saved you a trip or two.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
I am being robbed! Of my dignity!

Jump and roll? My dear Gene, is this another jibe at my size? Look at him, he's rotund, he must have lots of padding to roll with?
live_ringer: (Do what you want to)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I hear that's a common occurrence here.

Jump, tuck, and roll is standard procedure for exiting a moving vehicle with minimal injury. Sort of a one size fits all deal.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
One day, our revenge, we will have, hm?

A moving vehicle? Into the vacuum of space? Why would you roll? You float.
live_ringer: (That I have found it.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
One can hope.

...A moving vehicle that's close to the ground. Space crafts tend to have evacuation pods for that sort of thing. [Small pause, and then.] You've traveled in many space vehicles, have you?
Edited 2011-02-04 06:05 (UTC)

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 06:09 am (UTC)(link)
Why would you have a vehicle close to the ground? Surely it would hit things. Unless you are crashing onto a planet? And the pod, it does the landing for you.

I am from a space station. This, I have even seen.
live_ringer: (From a distance.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
It's for traveling across the ground. You know, set on wheels and propelled so that it rolls on them?

Huh, haven't run across many others familiar with space travel.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 06:19 am (UTC)(link)
Wheels? You mean, like a cart? Those, they are just for farming now.

Nor have I. I did not know you knew it.
live_ringer: (Failure to communicate.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
I mean like a car. Just. Think of somewhere between the cart and a shuttle, and you'll have a general idea of what I'm getting at.

I've gotten a hint that I do, at least.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 06:35 am (UTC)(link)
How quaint and backward.

Perhaps, when I am not stuck on this abomination of accursed wood and fabric, we should discuss this, hm?
live_ringer: (For every sleepless night he spends.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 06:45 am (UTC)(link)
It beats travel by chair.

I wouldn't mind it. Got a time and place in mind?

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 06:49 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. But crawling, it too beats travel by chair.

Perhaps you tell me more about how one safely 'tucks and rolls' and then, when I am clear of this damnable furniture I would have more ability to think.
live_ringer: (To people so slow.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 07:03 am (UTC)(link)
Crawling is a bit impractical if you're traveling a mile or more.

Aside from advising that you bend the knees when your feet hit the ground then rolling along your side when the momentum takes you forward, I don't know what to tell you. Guess it'll just be a matter of playing the waiting game till then.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. But if you are to go one mile for something, why not have tht something brought to you?

Bend my knees and roll on my side. How long do you think the chair can keep going?
live_ringer: (Will to come back to you now.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 07:18 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think everything comes with a delivery service.

You would be a better judge of that than me.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 07:20 am (UTC)(link)
It should. It would be much better.

I will wait a little while longer. Leaping, it is not my thing.
live_ringer: (So that's how it is.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe you could start up a delivery service and make up for the lack.

Probably wise.

lingeringlegacy: (evented)

just reject if either of you don't want this IC/OOCly

[personal profile] lingeringlegacy 2011-02-04 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps you can join us in the teahouse? I also would want to hear more stories of space.

Works for me!

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Does this mean that I will see you then, and then another time, my dear Stellaris?
lingeringlegacy: (nice)

[personal profile] lingeringlegacy 2011-02-04 08:02 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds good.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2011-02-04 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I believe it does.
live_ringer: (In Rick Astley's wardrobe again.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
That works well enough.
lingeringlegacy: (nice to meet you)

[personal profile] lingeringlegacy 2011-02-04 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
Pic Meet me at work?
live_ringer: (A wink and a wave and off we go.)

[personal profile] live_ringer 2011-02-04 08:10 am (UTC)(link)
Will do.
