I do not suppose there are any beds that are not hard as a rock down here? I have tried one in nearly every cabin, and they are all most uncomfortable. It would be better to sleep on the ground! When we were banished out of the tree last time, the accommodations, they were much better. I am not impressed. This place, it has always been poorly managed, but now, I see that it is even worse than I thought.

Next time we are driven from our little homes and what little lives we have, I would like more comfortable accommodations. Do note this, whomever manages these sort of things, hm?

And everyone puts up with this? Why? Why do we go along with whatever whims this place may have, with no one protesting? I want my cage to be comfortable. This, this is unacceptable.

And who, precisely, shall we complain to?

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2010-10-14 07:24 pm (UTC)(link)
The ones who are in charge, of course. The ones who mock us with rainbow writing and laughing. I do not take kindly to being mocked, no.

Actually, I think they are just more persons trapped here--perhaps with more knowledge of the way this place operates, but just as trapped and helpless to change things as you or I.

Of course, I could be wrong. Still, people who mock us so routinely could not be relied upon to take our complaints seriously, or to address them properly if they did.

People who are just trapped here are not able to give little gifts, hm? Helpless... No. I would not call them that.

Rely on them? I would not. But you cannot deny that my voice has been heard, no? Or that my writing has at least been read. Perhaps it will do nothing, but I feel better after writing that, and so one need has been met.

Well, perhaps not. In any case, I think it doubtful they have any significant influence over what the Wilderness changes to. Unless they like this sort of rough camp, I suppose.

No, I cannot deny that. I just don't happen to think it will do much good--though if it makes you feel better, that is something, at least.

Perhaps they do. Perhaps they enjoy misery from a distance.

Doubtless it will do nearly nothing. But maybe if I am annoying enough it will eventually, hm?
