First Purple File

[The writing is full of flourishes and swirls, making it look in some places elegant and in some overdone and ridiculous.]

So I will write on this and then people will write back and we will all be good friends, no? Somehow, I do not think that is the way the universe works.

We are all in a tree. We are tree people. This is stupid. But, if there is a place with wine, then I will not mind the stupid so much, hm? And we are not in a tree right now, but we are. I do not like paradoxes.

So. My friends. My soon-to-be dear, good friends. I am calling myself Ambassador. It is a stupid name, but I have never named myself before. There is a first time for everything, I believe it is said. So let us have a drink to firsts, and write on paper that writes back.

I cannot speak for everyone. But when it is part of the little bit you have, then I think it becomes important.

I am slowly getting that impression. What is your name?

[identity profile] redrobinhood.livejournal.com 2010-05-16 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
The person you are is more important than your name, especially when even that changes.

Case in point...I chose Ghost when I first arrived here. My name is Landors. But I mostly go by Ghost.

Yes, yes, but a name is what comes first when meeting people, hm? You eye them, they eye you, you decide if you do not hate them, they decide if they do not hate you, and then you exchange names.

Are you saying, my dear person, that you know your name and are not stuck with something you chose? How does this happen?

[identity profile] redrobinhood.livejournal.com 2010-05-16 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
...Why would somebody hate someone at first glance?

Right so there's a way for people to get their memories back, usually at a cost. Just pieces, a slice of your life kinda deal. I know my last name but I don't know my first--the sphere prevents me from hearing it. A few of us older residents know at least part of our names, where we came from or who we were but not enough to really know why we're here.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2010-05-16 11:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I think it is possible. I think some at first sight could be off.

Pieces for a price. And I already have so little to pay with. Thank you, [there's a pause[ Ghost? Or whatever the squiggle is that is your name. I am sorry, I do not think I know how to pronounce that. [He draws a series of squiggly lines.]

[identity profile] redrobinhood.livejournal.com 2010-05-16 11:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Ya just gotta give everyone a chance. Can't judge nobody when no one has anything worth judge'n, ya know what I mean?

Squiggles?

It's Land-ors. Like you know, the ground? Land? Just tack an Oar at the end.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2010-05-17 12:08 am (UTC)(link)
I do know what you mean. But I think it happens regardless.

Land Oar. Why did you not write that before? That is easy. Which do you want to be called?

[identity profile] redrobinhood.livejournal.com 2010-05-17 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
No I meant that's how you pronounce it. It's spelled Landors.

[he reallly should know better than to talk to noobs]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2010-05-17 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
I will stick to Ghost, yes?

[identity profile] redrobinhood.livejournal.com 2010-05-17 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah that's cool.
