Nineteenth Manifesto [Voice]

There is quite a lot of stress here, no? We have many new people since I have offered, so I am thinking that I should be making the offer again.

I am an Ambassador. My work, it is to negotiate. If people do not see eye-to-eye, there is most certainly a solution that makes both equally miserable, hm? I jest. But solutions, they can be found. I offer my help. You need only come by the my little casino during the day, or my little house when it is evening, and I will do what I can. This boredom, I do not enjoy it so much. I would welcome a change.

Just do not come too late, hm? I do enjoy sleep. It is a pleasant escape from the bunnies and other creatures that wish to eat me.

I l-l-like your voice, it possesses a ssssoothing timbre.

You were perhaps an ambassador in the Great War? Uwah! Fancy that!

I think your name is Miraim Tuftsprout.

[Voice]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
I thank you.

I have been a Ambassador for a great many wars, and several were called Great Wars, hm? Because in war, it must always be called something pretentious.

...No. My name is Londo Mollari. I have not heard such a ridiculous name before in my life.

[identity profile] touching-rust.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
Uwah! A great many Great Wars? F-f-fancy that! You're quite... quite the accomplished gentleman, I must say...

[Voice]

[identity profile] eatingurshoes.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
An ambassador, hmm? That certainly sounds useful in a place like this!

[Voice]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:18 am (UTC)(link)
I do try, my good sir. And what name do you have?

Re: [Voice]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
You would think, would you not? But there have been no takers. So much fighting, and not a one.

Hubert C-C-Cumberdale c-c-calls me Ssssalad Fingers.

[Voice]

Quite a few people here do share that fault, ne? Such hotheadedness...

[identity profile] originalprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:37 am (UTC)(link)
Why are you joking about misery? That's not funny.

You told that absurd creature that your name is Londo Mollari... Where are you from, Londo?

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
Because if you cannot laugh at misery, then you will spend your life very miserable indeed, no? Laughter is a good help in a great many things.

I am from Centauri Prime. And you, let me guess. You are from Earth. It is an easy guess.

[Voice]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:44 am (UTC)(link)
...Salad Fingers? Of what planet are you?

[identity profile] originalprodigy.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:45 am (UTC)(link)
I've been told that I haven't had much of a sense of humor. When I make people laugh, it is usually unintentional and at the cost of a slice of my dignity.

Why is that, Londo?

[Voice]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:46 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. But the offer, it is open, hm? So perhaps one or two will choose not to be so hotheaded. This, I would like to see.

[Voice]

[identity profile] touching-rust.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:47 am (UTC)(link)
Planet...? Uwah...

It is a bit... near to France?

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:49 am (UTC)(link)
I am sorry. Laughter and joy are few of the true treasures in life. And wine and women and song, but I will not presume that you have such tastes, hm?

Because it is very rare that someone does not come from Earth. There are altogether a great deal too many of you, sometimes. But the other non-Earthers, they have all left, hm? I would be happy for another. I would be ecstasy if the other was from my own world, my own people. But I know it is not likely.

[Voice]

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 05:50 am (UTC)(link)
France? That is on Earth. So much for my own little hopes.

[Voice]

[identity profile] eatingurshoes.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
That would be a sight to see, wouldn't it? I'd pay money to watch if I had any.

I would enjoy the break from what occurs so often, no? I will not say I have never wanted to resort to violence, but I have not actually done something. It is a line I do not think I will be crossing.

I think I'll have to remember that service in the future.

How have you been? It's been awhile.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 06:44 am (UTC)(link)
I am glad that someone will maybe use it, yes?

Good, good, I am good. And it has, my dear girl! How have you been? You seem well, on the network, no?
shadedsunlight: (everything will be okay)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2009-08-27 06:51 am (UTC)(link)
But would you be happier if you didn't have to mediate because then it meant people weren't fighting?

Yes, I'm well. A little busy, maybe more than usual, but I'm well.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 06:58 am (UTC)(link)
That, my dear girl, is a very tricky question. I would be safer, and safer is a form of happiness, hm? But, I would still be bored.

Busy? Busy is not always a bad thing. If you are not too busy, you may drop by, yes? Or perhaps I will close the casino one day and come by the bar. It would be a pleasant thing.
shadedsunlight: (friendly smile)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2009-08-27 07:09 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, boredom, how it ruins many things.

I'll try and drop by sometime, I always believe in making time for friends. How is the casino, by the way?

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-08-27 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
It does. There are only so many games I can win against myself before even a nap looks like excellent entertainment.

I would be glad of it. It is. I have, with the help of Killua, cleaned the sand from it, and I am looking for something new. Perhaps more will come to play if I can find more variety, yes?
shadedsunlight: (soft smile 2)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2009-08-27 08:01 am (UTC)(link)
I've always found a good book passes the time quite nicely.

Something new... I'm afraid I don't have anything to offer, but if I find something that could be used in a casino, I'll let you know.
