Thirteenth Manifesto

But of course, it would do this when I am at the casino, hm? At least I can be glad that there is food here. Though pickles do not count so much towards being nutritious.

This will not last a week? I do tire of hiding. But I can do nothing about monsters, and I can do nothing about weather.

Diplomacy. Why is there nothing in this city that requires diplomacy? It is all weaponry and powers. A dagger does not cut it, hm?

If anyone is out and in need of shelter, I have blankets, pickles, and wine at [x,y]. It is better than being alone out in this.

I will.

You take plywood or some other durable material and cover the windows with them. It's a way of protecting them in bad storms. Though I'm not sure where I'll find plywood and nails now.

This protects them? I do not fully understand... but I have just realized that there are not storm shutters on the windows. At home they were automated. A small thing to miss until it is needed.

I will hope my windows do not break.

To an extent. You nail the boards to the outside of the window so that way if something, like a rock, is thrown at it, it only hits the wood and not the glass. However, strong enough winds can tear them off and if something really heavy gets thrown at them, they'll break.

Were there storms often in your home?

I hope so as well.

To the outside! Now, now it begins to make sense. Dear girl, do not be outside hammering nails in this!

Not so much. The Imperial Palace was in a mild climate zone.

...I have to keep the bar safe somehow. And the house.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 06:14 pm (UTC)(link)
At the risk of yourself? That is not wise. No, it borders on stupid.
shadedsunlight: (forced grin)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2009-06-11 06:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...Well, I really only have enough to board up one window.

...Though someone should bring the cow inside.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
But you will be outside for this, a most unsafe idea.

Cow, cow... I forget. What kind of animal is a cow again? It is not the ones with pouches that jump, hm? Though I think that starts with the same sound.
shadedsunlight: (yeah yeah...)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2009-06-11 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
It wouldn't be for long.

A cow is... well, let me go get Gyuu to safety or at least tether her to something secure and I'll show you what she looks like.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you know how long it takes to have your brains bashed out, my dear girl? Seconds. And no one wants their brains bashed out, especially by a storm.

I would be thankful. I have such difficulty remembering Earth animals.
shadedsunlight: (*sigh*)

[personal profile] shadedsunlight 2009-06-11 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
...I assure you I'm very aware of that fact. But someone has to make sure the cow is safe. Give me a few moments.

[identity profile] proudambassador.livejournal.com 2009-06-11 06:43 pm (UTC)(link)
I am not speaking of the cow, my dear girl.

[The video feed turns on to show Gyuu the fruit cow, a thick rope around her neck and the other end tethered to something off the screen. Rain constantly splatters against the screen and the image jumps slightly with eat burst of wind.]

Aha. And now, I will be able to remember what a cow is. Thank you.

[The feed stays on a little longer before the a crack can be heard and PCD goes clattering to the ground and the feed shuts off.]
